Silent Partner Time of Year

Uncle Sam Taxes

It’s that time of year.  The prior year is in the books.  How did it compare to your financial goals?  We are starting to receive our 1099’s and/or W2’s, and we quickly find out.

We flock to our accountants and anxiously await the result.  Some of us pay quarterly and some of us pray annually when it comes to our silent partner getting their due. A man much wiser than I once said, “A fine is a tax for doing wrong, a tax is a fine for doing well”, or at least something to that effect.  I hope this post finds you in a situation where you had abundant income last year, and sorry to say, have to pay the taxman his due.

How can we help our clients and customers before they race to their accountants? Prepare a marketing campaign around sending out prior year Settlement Statements for clients’ tax purposes.  It’s a little thing, that may go a long way.

Once adequate time has passed for mail delivery, make a customer service courtesy call to be sure they received it.

Are you a client or customer of ReeceNichols Liberty?  Contact us direct, and we will arrange for you to pickup your Settlement Statement.
