Hanging Pictures

To hang pictures like a pro, follow these easy steps:

  • Trace your frames onto paper to make a template of each one, then cut out the templates.
  • Measure the distance from the top of the frame to where the nail will hold the picture. Mark this distance on the paper templates.
  • Use a tape that is easy to remove, such as painter’s tape, to hang each template, be sure the markings for the hangers are facing out. Re-arrange the templates until you like how the arrangement looks.
  • Hammer the nails and picture hooks into the hanging marks on the templates. After the nails are in, rip the paper templates off the wall, and hang your pictures. To help keep your frames straight, put a small piece of Fun-Tak (sold at craft stores) on the back of each corner.
