Living Your Food Life, Your Way

Want to learn how to start a garden?
Live an organic life of heirlooms? Guess what, you’re also supporting a Missouri company, Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co (rareseeds.com).
Know what chemicals (if any, I don’t like them) go in to your food?

Did you know peppers are perennials, which means they come back year after year? I have 8-10 hot pepper plants from last year waiting for the warmer weather and to go outside for the summer (pictured above).

When do you think I planted this spinach from seed?  Photo taken 4/2/16.  The best way to get a 5 and 7 year old to like raw spinach?  Have them help you plant it.

We’ll track my progress on the gardening from time to time.  Sometimes I may reveal a great takeaway, other times, you can learn from my mistakes!

Also look for recipes, grilling tips, smoking (meat) tips, and whatever else we want to discuss.
Please let me know questions and we’ll work it out together!  Please also share this with others you think would like to get in on the discussion.
